Comité ChampagneThe Concours européen des Ambassadeurs du Champagne (European Champagne Ambassadors’ Awards Competition) provides an opportunity to engage in technical, in depth discussions on a somewhat vast, yet subtle subject: Champagne.A high-quality interpreting service is essential for an event that brings together a variety of people speaking a variety of languages from across Europe.Close attention must be paid to equipment, interpreters and organisation if all the subject-specific subtleties are to be understood and the event to be a success. This is why the CIVC (Comité Interprofessionnel du Vin de Champagne) opted for CG Traduction & Interprétation’s interpreting services.

The festive season is celebrated with Champagne! This explains why 40% of revenues from Champagne are generated in the last two months of the year.
Over time, Champagne has become the number one accompaniment for celebrating all those special occasions, with 315 million bottles sold worldwide in 2012 (Source: CIVC).
The fact that Champagne has become such a highly valued tipple is partly down to the hard work of all those working tirelessly across the world to share their love and knowledge of Champagne.
The European Champagne Ambassadors’ Awards Competition has taken place every year since 2005 and pays homage to these experts with a passion for bubbles.
The CIVC were looking for an extensive interpreting service to ensure the smooth running of the competition finals, which took place on 18 October 2012 at the Maison du Champagne d’Epernay.
With the candidates speaking 6 different languages, this required interpreting into both French and English for the French- and English-speaking members of the Jury.
For the fifth year running, CG Traduction & Interprétation’s bid was selected by the customer as it met their quality and budgetary criteria so well.

Interpreting Service

CG Traduction & Interprétation provided state-of-the art equipment for relaying the sound via transmitters and receivers, qualified interpreters who know all there is to know about oenology (or the art of wine making, as it is more commonly known) and a technical coordinator to make sure the event ran smoothly.
And so, for the entire day, the CG Traduction & Interprétation team provided a link between the candidates and members of the jury, relaying the Champagne experts’ wealth of expertise and their passion.
